Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Improve accounting workflows, internal controls, and overall back-office processes
- Partner with operational leaders across multiple locations to ensure financial accuracy and accountability
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Review and maintain inventory and cost accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting and tax requirements
- Identify gaps in current processes and proactively recommend improvements
- Support system optimization efforts, including evaluating current accounting platforms and future system enhancements
- Prepare reports and provide financial insight to executive leadership
- Coordinate with external partners including auditors, tax professionals, and vendors as needed
- Travel locally between San Antonio-area locations as needed
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory accounting required
- Prior experience supporting multi-location operations preferred
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills, even in environments with limited direct reports
- Self-starter who can work independently and identify areas needing attention without extensive direction
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems required
- Experience evaluating or implementing accounting systems strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- CPA or CMA is a plus, but not required
- Salary range: $105,000 – $115,000 annually
