About the Role
As an Removal Tech, you’ll provide dignified, professional transportation of human remains between hospitals, post-acute facilities, funeral homes/crematories, coroner/medical examiner offices, and private residences. You’ll represent MSS with compassion, precision, and respect while navigating time-sensitive assignments and variable conditions.
What You’ll Do
- Safely load, transport, and deliver human remains using company vehicles (van, hearse/coach, or transit van).
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes, barriers, and timing to keep clients informed.
- Provide professional, courteous service to families, facility staff, and funeral professionals; direct inquiries appropriately.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time; maintain logs/records in company systems.
- Keep vehicles clean, stocked, and in safe working order; report maintenance needs promptly.
- Respond to dispatch calls quickly (answer within 2 minutes; en route within 20 minutes).
- Support related operations as needed (e.g., funeral attendant coverage, hearse driving).
- Follow company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal laws; attend required trainings/certifications.
Schedule
- On-call, variable hours with regular night and weekend availability required.
- Work may involve continuous driving and time-sensitive responses.
