We are seeking a Collections Analyst to join our team in Overland Park, KS. This individual will be responsible for the complete maintenance of customer accounts assigned to the portfolio in regards to collection activities. This includes contacting customers or internal business partners to collect on outstanding debts. This team strives to reduce bad debt exposure, while promoting customer goodwill and respecting the company policy.

We are seeking a Collections Analyst to join our team in Overland Park, KS. This individual will be responsible for the complete maintenance of customer accounts assigned to the portfolio in regards to collection activities. This includes contacting customers or internal business partners to collect on outstanding debts. This team strives to reduce bad debt exposure, while promoting customer goodwill and respecting the company policy.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for collection activity on customer accounts within assigned portfolio. This involves regular contact with customers via emails, phone calls or vendor portals and internal partners regarding past due or dispute related items. In addition, updating collection efforts to support timely and consistent follow up.
- Review blocked orders for account portfolio to determine if orders can be released based on resolution of item causing credit hold. Ensure compliance with risk assessment assigned to customer account.
- Respond in a timely manner to requests related to customer account, invoice, or payment issues.
- Review AR Aging routinely and provide updates to management on monthly basis.
- Work with internal partners to ensure customer master data is accurate and any changes are processed.
- Provide support on additional duties assigned by supervisor.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Credit & Collections field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with the customer account reconciliation process.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment to achieve goals and complete assignments within established time frames.
- Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting or finance is preferred.
- SAP Experience strongly preferred.
