SUMMARY
To perform changeovers according to production schedule in a manner of time to reduce/ minimize down time, as much is possible. Set up equipment and jobs for each day’s production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Must set up all secondary equipment for start-up of new jobs to run safely and smoothly.
- Troubleshoots equipment as needed to maintain an efficient workflow. Identify problem root cause by observing mechanical systems and devices in operation.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
- Must continually work towards improving plant machinery to achieve a zero-defect operation. Takes initiative and works independently.
- Keeps assembly work areas clean and orderly.
- Responsible for preventing ANY unsafe work conditions relating to the equipment. Maintains safety guards and informs Operators and Supervisors of any potential problems. Removes, cleans, and properly stores machinery when not in use.
- Twice during the shift verifies that all secondary equipment is working properly. Does a check of parts to ensure part quality.
- Uses good interpersonal communication techniques to work with co-workers. Is Courteous and helpful when interacting with fellow employees. Attends available interpersonal skill training courses. Helps to create a pleasant work environment.
- All other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year of relevant experience
