JOB The Part-Time Instructional Technologist Liaison supports faculty and students in the effective use of educational technology to enhance teaching and learning at Morton College. This position assists in creating instructional resources, conducting training sessions, and providing one-on-one support for faculty and students using the College’s Learning Management System (LMS) and other instructional tools.
The Liaison collaborates closely with the full-time Instructional Technologist, academic divisions, and the Management Information Systems (MIS/IT) area to ensure consistent and innovative use of technology in instruction. - Support faculty in the effective use of instructional technology in teaching and learning.
- Provide small-group and one-on-one consultations for faculty and students on educational technology use.
- Assist with conducting training workshops to enhance digital literacy and course design skills.
Learning Management System (LMS) Support
- Support faculty with course setup, navigation, troubleshooting, and use of advance LMS features.
- Asist with developing and maintaining documentation and user guides for Blackboard Ultra and related academic platforms.
- Create short instructional videos, tutorials, and knowledge-based resources for faculty and students.
Course Development & Multimedia Support
- Assist in the design and development of online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses.
- Contribute to the development of training materials, guides, and best practice documentation.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with academic departments, student support areas, and the MIS/IT department to strengthen technology use in instruction.
- Participate in pilot initiatives and implementation of new instructional technologies.
- Research and recommend emerging technologies that support teaching and learning.
