Mortgage Loan Originator - Florida

Mortgage Maven Finance is seeking experienced Mortgage Loan Officers who believe a great Loan Officer does more than take applications — they educate, prepare, and guide homebuyers through the financing process.

Our Lakeland location is home to the Mortgage Maven Finance Homebuyer Education Center, where we host homebuyer seminars, workshops, Lunch & Learns, and other educational events designed to help consumers prepare for homeownership before they apply.

• Consult with prospective homebuyers and evaluate their financing needs

• Educate clients on mortgage qualification, loan programs, documentation, and the homebuying process

• Structure mortgage applications and identify potential qualification issues early

• Guide borrowers from initial consultation through closing

• Actively promote and participate in Homebuyer Education Center seminars, workshops, Lunch & Learns, and other events

• Help build attendance by inviting prospective homebuyers, Realtors, referral partners, and members of your professional network to appropriate Center events

• Engage with attendees before, during, and after events to develop relationships and provide mortgage guidance

• Build and maintain relationships with Realtors and other referral partners

• Follow up with prospective clients generated through Center activities, walk-in traffic, networking, and personal referral sources

• Maintain accurate files and comply with federal, state, lender, and company requirements

• Work collaboratively with processing, underwriting, and operations throughout the loan process

• Active Mortgage Loan Originator license

• Prior mortgage origination experience required

• Working knowledge of mortgage guidelines, loan programs, qualification requirements, and loan structuring

• Ability to review a borrower’s financial profile, recognize potential issues, and structure files appropriately

• Ability to explain complex mortgage requirements in clear, everyday language

• Client-first approach with an emphasis on education and responsible homeownership

• Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills

• Comfortable promoting and participating in consumer education, networking, and community-facing events

• Local to the Lakeland area due to the nature of the Homebuyer Education Center and its events

Independent contractor (1099) opportunity with commission-based compensation.
