Come make a difference at MGIC. About the Role We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Structured Transactions team for the summer. This role offers hands-on experience in credit risk transfer (CRT) and risk analytics. You will work on projects that combine quantitative modeling, credit risk analysis, and structured finance concepts to help inform deal pricing and capital allocation decisions. What You’ll Be Doing Test third party Python scripts used for CRT cashflow modeling Compare model outputs by utilizing internal development cashflow dashboard Assist in analyzing CRT transaction structures, including tranche mechanics and pricing metrics Collaborating on ad-hoc projects related to structured finance and credit risk analytics Present your findings and insights to team members and managers. Who You Are Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in quantitative finance/financial engineering, Economics, Risk Management, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Ability to work full-time hours throughout the summer on-site at our downtown Milwaukee campus Basic proficiency in Python for data validation and modeling Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to translate technical findings into business terms What You’ll Gain Exposure to GSE credit risk transfer programs and structured finance analytics Opportunity to work on real-world projects that impact product strategy Pay Range: $37,830.00 - $56,750.00 This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions.
