SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist I that will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by acquiring the right talent to support business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the Talent Acquisition Relationship Manager for assigned business groups, developing staffing priorities, conducting weekly meetings, and updating staffing reports
- Source and staff open positions, ensuring a diverse slate of candidates and directly recruiting for employment consideration
- Collaborate with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans, and establish employment offers
- Negotiate and manage external recruiting resources (researchers, agencies, internet service companies, etc.)
- Develop approaches to identify and source needed talent through direct recruiting, Open House gatherings, Job Fairs, and Internet Recruiting
- Refer team members to appropriate contact points for headquarters talent management services (benefit services, complaint/issue resolution, drug and alcohol-free program)
- Build and maintain relationships with team members across the organization at all levels
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Minimum two years of recruiting/HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience
- Ability to make recommendations on hiring decisions to upper management
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficiency in using PC and widely used software packages (e.g., Excel, MS Word, HRIS/database)
- Strong teamwork orientation
- Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
- Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback

The base pay range for this role is $$6 7,300MIN - $90,900 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
