What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Treasury Analyst position at Mortenson?
What will you be doing?
- Partner with other Treasury Team Members to ensure bank balances are in compliance with target balances each day, and in resolving discrepancies
- Make decisions to redeem or purchase securities as required to ensure adequate liquidity is maintained in various operating accounts
- Use independent judgment to identify, resolve and raise bank errors, positive pay exceptions and fraud related issues to ensure legitimate business transactions are clearing bank accounts
- Play a lead role in monitoring Treasury’s e-mail box and in working with internal and external business partners to resolve issues and respond to customer requests
- Use independent judgment to raise more complex issues/requests to senior Treasury Team Members as required
- Ensure all banking and investment transactions are completed accurately and are in compliance with cash management procedures, investment policies, and risk control measures
- Conduct day-to-day cash management, accounts receivable and investment duties as required
- Review weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, and month-end closing transactions for accuracy and to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
- Complete banking / investment transactions and update reports as required
- Assist senior Treasury Team Members in the creation and maintenance of Excel based reports related to Key Performance Indicators, aging receivables, investment performance, cash analysis and forecasting, and other reporting/analytical tools as required to meet Mortenson’s changing business needs
- Assist in the partnership with internal team members and external business partners to develop, recommend and implement solutions that increase efficiencies and accuracy by reducing manual work, and better use currently available banking services
- Prepare and maintain documentation of processes and procedures for inclusion in desk manuals and user guides posted on the company intranet
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
