- Sort and pre-rinse soiled items before loading into dishwashers or washing by hand when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, including sinks, counters, and surrounding equipment, ensuring a hygienic workspace
- Monitor dishwasher operation for proper functioning; report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, organizing supplies, and supporting catering or banquet setups when required
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen by participating in cleaning schedules for floors, storage areas, and equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
