We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Barista to join our vibrant café team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffees & smoothie beverages and other menu items with attention to quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems including Toast POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all food preparation and serving areas.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Restock supplies, manage inventory levels, and ensure the café remains organized and inviting.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers professionally and courteously.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including serving food items.
- Uphold café standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and managing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings and afternoons as needed.
