Examples of Duties:
The Project Resource Teacher assigned to support Morse High School is responsible for comprehensive and culturally competent restorative justice support to ensure the academic success of students, reduce disproportionate discipline, and promote positive climate and culture on Morse High School’s campus. This position provides research, professional development, and support to administrators, teachers, and support staff. Morse’s Restorative Justice Practice Coordinator performs a full range of leadership duties and responsibilities by supporting our school as they work to uphold the tenets of Restorative Justice. The incumbent will be expected to:
- Support implementation of a Restorative Justice framework at Morse.
- Provide restorative support for identified students and staff.
- Provide facilitation and support services for escalated cases.
- Work collaboratively with administrators, district office staff, and other school staff.
- Provide support at Restorative Justice trainings.
- Create and update new and existing Restorative Justice support materials.
- Create new professional development materials/agendas.
- Deliver professional development and coaching.
- Serve as a spokesperson for Restorative Practices and uphold the district’s values, mission, vision, equity stance, and strategic plan.
- Initiate, promote and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, guardians, staff, administrators, and community partners.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Experience leading and implementing Restorative Justice practices in a school setting is preferred. Experience working with high school students and facilitating restorative circles, conflict resolution, and relationship-building practices is highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with at least three years of experience in Restorative Justice work.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
Valid California Multiple Subject or Single Subject Teaching Credential by the closing date of the application deadline.

The examination process will consist of an application screening based on the candidate's education, work history and responses to the supplemental questions. Professional References will be contacted for candidates who are selected to proceed in the examination process. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed advancement through any subsequent phase of the examination. Candidates selected to proceed in the examination process will be invited to an interview. Applicants who pass the examination process will be placed on an eligible list for a period of one school year. The eligible list will be used to fill vacancies at various school sites.
