MORryde is seeking an AutoCAD Drafting Engineer to join our diverse engineering team. We are looking to grow our engineering team with technical professionals who are self-motivated. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting new building projects, updating existing facilities and safety layouts, and approving layout changes to support operations and compliance. This position also involves detailing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate production and building information modeling drawings. In addition, you will have the ability to learn engineering processes as they relate to metal fabrication and manufacturing.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop drawings for new building projects and facility expansions
- Create, update, and maintain facility maps, and safety layouts
- Create a standardized process for development of facility drawings
- Accurately measure floor space to lay out and create new equipment plans
- Detail, review, and check facility maps for accuracy
- Document layout changes and design revisions
- Perform additional engineering duties as assigned
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Understanding safety and building codes is a plus
- Understanding of production and metal fabrication processes, preferred but not required
