Probation Office- Transportation Specialist

The Morrow County Court of Common Pleas is currently hiring a full-time TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST. This position is grant funded primarily through the OneOhio Recovery Foundation; please note there is no guarantee of employment beyond the duration of the funding period, which ends December 31, 2027. The Transportation Specialist will be responsible for the transportation of Court-involved and supervised individuals to and from several locations approved by the Probation Services and the grant requirements. The vehicle used for such transportation will be provided by the Court. Networking with community members, agencies, and providers is essential, and the applicant will also be expected to provide support, when necessary, to Probation Services. The applicant will have a general understanding and ability to utilize Evidence Based Practices, must have a working knowledge of basic computer programs, have good communication skills, and possess the ability to multi-task. The applicant must be able to initially and annually pass the following: Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy Firearms course; Taser training course; and, a defensive tactics training course. The educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma, though an Associate's Degree is preferred. The starting pay rate for this position is $22.61/hour ($47,028.80/annually).
