Registered Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are in need of adding a 4th dental assistant to our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a blend of technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal abilities to ensure a smooth and efficient dental practice. All candidates will be considered, modification to pay rate will be determined by years of experience and if any additional certifications (EFDA) have already been obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare treatment areas and sterilize instruments effectively.
• Perform dental imaging procedures, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain dental equipment, including 3D scanners when applicable.
• Support patients by explaining treatment plans and addressing any concerns they may have.
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including using Dentrix software.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in various specialties, including pediatrics.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical coding is an advantage.
• Proficiency in medical documentation practices is essential.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols is required.
• Experience with medical imaging technology is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patients are necessary for success in this role.
• Ability to work well in a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
