Middle School Math Teacher
Academic Year 2026-2027
MBS seeks a vibrant, intellectually engaging Middle School Mathematics teacher to join a forward-looking, diverse learning community for the 2026-27 academic year. The ideal candidate should possess strong mathematical thinking skills, a passion for mathematics, and a love for working with middle school-age students.
This individual will also foster a respectful, equitable, and inclusive classroom culture aligned with the values of MBS:Personal Responsibility, Awareness of Diverse Perspectives, Engagement, Tenacity, Independence of Mind, Humor and Humility.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to teach in the Integrated Math sequence
- Differentiate instruction based on needs, learning levels, and feedback
- Design classes and assessments that facilitate engaging learning opportunities
- Identify and support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral learning needs
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate readily with colleagues
- Communicate effectively with students and families about classroom activities and student progress
Responsibilities:
- Teach 4 classes
- Act as an advisor
- Support the School’s activities program
- Rotate through supervisory duties, such as recess, dismissal, extra help, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics or related field
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience
- Professional alignment with the mission and values of MBS
Salary Range:
The expected salary range for this position is $60,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience.
