What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Aide position at Morriss Elementary?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Work under guidance and direction of Coordinator of health services and/or school nurse, RN by assuming routine recordkeeping activities, administering medication, providing minor first aid care, conducting health screenings at campus level, and performing procedures necessary for care of students with disabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED
Must be certified in CPR, first aid and AED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of basic first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop databases and do word processing
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Experience:
Preferred one year experience in health-related position, including contact with school-age children
Salary : $16 - $22
