Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wallingford, CT, for a Sous Chef at Morrison Community Living. The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting in the planning and oversight of daily kitchen operations, preparing high-quality meals, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Additional responsibilities include ordering and inventory management, collaborating with the culinary team, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for all residents and guests.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control
- Strong leadership, team management, and staff training capabilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and sanitation protocols
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality or senior living facilities is a plus
