Duties
- Safely operate a box truck / Step Van to deliver packages along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load and unload packages using proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and moving items of various sizes and weights
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with company standards
- Navigate route driving efficiently, utilizing GPS and route planning tools to optimize delivery times
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and records of all package movements and deliveries
Experience
- Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicles
- Background in warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and moving.
- Strong driving record with knowledge of safe driving practices in various traffic conditions
- Customer service experience that demonstrates professionalism, communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and moving packages regularly (Max Pkg weight of 150lbs.)
- Familiarity with route planning tools and GPS devices for efficient navigation
Requirements
- 21 years old and ability to pass pre employment and random drug testing
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading packages with a 150lb max weight
