DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

A Student Nurse Assistant is responsible for administering direct patient care and performing any other duties deemed necessary to insure optimal patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 18 years of age.

Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Completion of one semester of clinicals and actively enrolled and in good standing in a School of Nursing at a College, University or Junior College

Cannot exceed 90 days post-graduation of accredited School of Nursing

Must provide unofficial transcripts upon hire and every 6 months after until graduation.

Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.

Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.

Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.

Ability to follow directions accurately.

Appreciation of and desire to be a part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
