Morgan State University is seeking a Chair for the Department of Political Science. The successful candidate will serve as the chief representative of the department, oversee internal affairs, and act as a liaison between faculty and university administration.
Job Duties :
- Set and meet enrollment, retention, and graduation projections
- Schedule courses and supervise faculty and staff
- Collaborate with area coordinators and interpret University goals
- Conduct faculty evaluations and tenure processes
- Resolve issues between faculty and students and monitor compliance with University policies
- Teach two courses per semester and maintain an active research agenda
- Document departmental activities and support student recruitment efforts
- Expand and grow departmental programs
