What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Associate position at MORRIS HEIGHTS HEALTH CENTER INC?
The Business Associate Level I is a multi-functional position and is a key member of the health team.
This position is responsible for center operational activities, such as registration, the accurate capture patient demographic and financial information, insurance verification, maintaining appointment schedules, collecting co-payments and answering telephones. Major scope of responsibilities will depend on needs of health center.
Qualifications:
- Greet patients, answer telephone, schedule appointments, take phone notes and forward to provider.
- Register new patients, update existing patient demographics, if necessary obtain prior authorization.
- Manage patient flow by arriving and registering patients on the PM system and generating and closing encounters as needed.
- Completes pre-registration process for all new patients to Morris Heights Health Center including initial insurance verification process.
- Verifies all patient demographic and insurance information on each visit and update the PM system as needed.
- Collects all insurance co-payments and patient self-pay visit charges at time of registration, provide receipts to the patient, and post all payment transactions in the PM system.
Salary : $20 - $22
