We are licensed in our home to provide Residential Care for 3 Adults with mild Intellectual Disabilities. We operate in our family home located in South Fallbrook, CA providing Live-In Care, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, for our beloved clients.

Job Description
The Direct Support Professional for us is a kind, patient and industrious person, who brings positive energy and a great attitude, happy to provide Respite Relief to our family by caring for our 3 Adults with mild Intellectual Disabilities in our home, part-time, so we can have family time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support a Family Caring for 3 Adults with Intellectual Disabilities in our family home.
- Build Calm & Quiet Rapport, Support Camaraderie, Show Kindness, Display Patience, Share Smiles, Give Encouragement
- Make every day meaningful and fun by engaging clients in upbuilding conversation, exercise, walks, music, outings and more
- Communicate with all staff and residents in a kind, respectful manner.
- Be Creative. Have Fun.
- Assist individuals being served with their household cleaning duties, laundry and meal preparation.
- Offer choices throughout the day
- Transport to appointments and outings on time (vehicle provided)
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions.
- Administer basic first aid as needed
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviors or medical needs
- Support individuals with activities of daily living at the appropriate level
- Maintain compliance with state regulations for community care facilities.
- Deliver individual program plans/goals and behavior support plans
- Assist with interventions to protect individuals who engage in problem behavior and those around them
- Communicate any occurrences during your shift with the next facility staff at the end of your shift.
- Make daily notes about the individuals in their files.
- Communicate any issues promptly to the Program Administrator.
- Teach assigned skills and encourage progress with patience, in a loving and caring manner.
- Attend Staff Trainings
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 21 Years of age or older
- Female Preferred
- Minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination working with individuals with special needs
- Current Valid California Driver’s License with 2 Years Clean Driving Record
- Pass FBI/DOJ background screening
- Pass Drug Test and Health Screening with TB Clearance
- CPR/First Aid Certification
Hours: 12 per week
Shifts may be slightly adjusted to fit the right candidate and for special occasions. Shifts added as needed.
- Monday 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
- Wednesday 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
- Friday 3:30 PM-6:30PM
- Saturday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
