Morrigan Employment is seeking a full-time MACHINE OPERATOR immediately for a role at a manufacturing warehouse in CANBY, OR. This company manufactures plastic components that will be used in the building process and the early stages of construction.
Position: Machine Operator
Location: Canby, OR
Days: Monday – Friday, Plus OT as needed
Shifts: SWING SHIFT--3p--11p
Rate of Pay: $19
Duration: training on day shift (7a-3p) and then full time role is on swing shift (3p-11p)
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Plastics Machine Operator to become an integral part of our team! You will help operate machines that manufacture small plastic items that aid with construction and production. Maintain and monitor the quality of parts being prepared for shipment, determine processing parameters of various tools, and have the ability to identify problems and address them accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team to pull completed components off of the line
- Rotate through tasks for specific production processes
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products and parts
- Prepare finished products for shipment
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Set-up raw materials, clean hoppers, dryers and prep tools for production and have knowledge on how to safely operate additional equipment such as hoist, grinders, sanders, and other hand tools, etc.
- Perform quality control checks on product during the production process to ensure that product specifications and standards are met.
- Operate machines and package finished product when/if needed or perform special processes as required by Production Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Lifting up to 30lbs occasionally, standing/bending/stooping/walking for duration of shift. Average visual acuity necessary due to reading and close-up vision inspection required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- 9 months previous experience in machine operation within a manufacturing environment required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
