What are the responsibilities and job description for the Variable Operations Director position at Morrie's Auto Group?

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Work cohesively with dealership-level variable ops teams to ensure consistent processes execution, including lead handling, Morrie’s Promise process, customer follow-up, etc.
• Drive accountability of the management teams toward the improvement of lead handling metrics: contact percentage, appointment setting/confirmation, appointment sold, unsold follow-up, etc.
• Ensure consistent Used Car strategies throughout the market such as consistent pricing/inventory strategy, reconditioning standards, and lot merchandising standards.
• Support store level product specialists with training on phone scripts, customer follow-up, VIN Solutions, and phone systems,
• Monitor CRM utilization and provide key updates to key metrics to serve as success benchmarks
• Work closely with other corporate leadership on initiatives, strategy, and execution of variable ops initiatives, while driving a culture of employee development and retention.
• Provide direction to the centralized vehicle acquisition team on areas to focus, vehicles standards for the market, and maximizing gross profit.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s expectations as it pertains to interactions with customers, colleagues, subordinates, and vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships with applicable partners (i.e. VinSolutions, Carwars, auctions partners, etc.)

What You Offer:
• A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in automotive variable operations, including Sales Management and F&I
• Team leadership and development experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to influence management on process improvements
• Experience with DMS systems such as CDK, VinSolutions, and/or TruVideo
• Used vehicle background
• Vehicle acquisition experience, Manheim, Openlane, Smart Auction, ACV, OVE

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
