Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of farms and commercial properties to identify pest issues
- Apply pest control treatments using appropriate methods, including sprays, baits, traps, and drenches
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery safely and effectively during treatment procedures
- Maintain detailed records of treatments performed, chemicals used, and client interactions
- Educate clients on pest prevention techniques and recommend ongoing maintenance plans
- Grow in your craft with options for certifications, licenses, and continuing education
- Work directly with other applicators and pest control advisors
Experience
- Prior experience in pest control, lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agriculture is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and other equipment required for pest management
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to safely travel to and from jobs
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members
- Ability to follow safety protocols meticulously when handling chemicals and equipment
