Role Description
We are seeking a Software Asset Manager for a full-time, on-site position based in Huntsville, AL. The Software Asset Manager will oversee the organization's software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and optimizing software utilization. Responsibilities include managing license agreements, maintaining software inventory, tracking compliance, and collaborating with IT teams to support software procurement and deployment. Additionally, this role will require analyzing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency in software asset management.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in License Management and Software Compliance
- Experience in IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management
- Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating data and recommending optimizations
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with asset management tools and software tracking systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSAM, ITIL, or equivalent) are a plus
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
