Description
The Arrowpoint Corporation, a government contractor with over 20 years of experience supporting various Department of Defense (DoD) and government clients, is seeking a Strategic and Operational Planning Analyst. This role will provide expertise to the Army Materiel Command's Deputy Chief of Staff, G6, and the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The analyst will bring the necessary technical & operational skills to support operational planning, briefings & analysis across all levels of the DCS G6 (CIO), Headquarters AMC, and the Command.
Responsibilities
- Participate in strategic planning efforts, tasking, forecasting, and coordination activities, with a focus on the U.S. Army Operations Order and the U.S. Marine Corps Planning Process.
- Assess, analyze, and provide guidance on policies, plans, and procedures as a member of a G-level staff.
- Interact with and coordinate all G6 operations with members of the AMC staff and organizational leadership.
- Manage the operations order and the taskings process from initial generation at HQDA through to subordinate commands.
- Help develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive operational strategy with clearly defined goals and objectives for either a Major Army Command (MACOM) or a Major Subordinate Command (MSC).
- Possess a working knowledge of the U.S. Army's Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2).
- Research and analyze U.S. Army doctrine and policy, providing guidance and recommendations that impact organizational efforts and mission success.
- Support periodic reviews of an organization's Campaign Plan and Lines of Effort (LoE) to track accomplishments, refine elements of the Campaign Plan, and update related products as needed.
- As a member of an operational planning team, prepare and deliver an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) that evaluates feasible options, costs, schedules, performance benchmarks, risks, and critical technology elements.
- As a member of an operational planning team, prepare and deliver a Business Case Analysis (BCA) that addresses strategies, background information, benefits, costs, gap analysis results, and associated risks.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance is required
- A Bachelor's degree is required
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Knowledge and understanding of Army Doctrine, Policies, and MACOM-level processes
- Must have experience briefing senior leadership across multiple commands and within HQDA.
- Technical and operational expertise to support the analysis, development, and/or implementation of strategic and operational documents, plans, products, and venues, as well as battle rhythm events
- Must be able to obtain and maintain relevant credentials to access the worksite and computer systems
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree is preferred
- Operational experience as a Brigade (minimum organizational level) Operations Officer, G3/5/7 staffer, or planner.
- Platform or classroom instructor with a particular emphasis on doctrine, planning, or analysis.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of tools and technology.
- Strong technical understanding of Army hierarchy, processes, and structure
- Exceptional verbal and writing skills at the Master's Degree level
