Scheduled work hours must be between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM with the core business hours between 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Candidates may be required to work non-traditional work hours as needed.
Education: Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, curriculum development, adult education, performance improvement, graphic design, digital design and animation, or other multimedia related subjects.
Experience:
1 to 2 years of experience and/or working knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, adult education, performance improvement, graphic design, or other multimedia related subjects.
Primary Job Duties/ Tasks
The submitted candidate must be able to perform the following duties and/or tasks. Duties of the selected candidate will include, but not be limited to:
- Design and develop Computer-Based Training (CBT) by using engaging learning activities, course content, quizzes and course interactions that will aid in retention and transfer, meet the business need and support the overall training strategy of the Department of Transportation using Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate.
- Apply adult learning theory, scenario-based learning techniques, and instructional design best practices.
- Create compelling graphics, such as banners, logos, flyers, posters, infographics, job aids, etc. using Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and Illustrator.
- Create and edit engaging audio and video for use on websites and in CBTs using Adobe Premiere Pro, Captivate, Articulate 360, and After Effects.
- Create storyboards, discuss project plans, follow project schedules, and manage project workloads independently while maintaining a strong working relationship and effective communication with the team members.
- Support and assist with special projects and initiatives that support the agency and Organizational Development Office.
