Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Superintendent or designee and the functional direction of the Credentialed School Nurse, the job of Health Technician is done for the purpose/s of assisting with and providing appropriate care and/or referral for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students as may be required; carrying out health screening in accordance with State laws and District policies; and providing clerical support in addressing the health needs of students.
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS: VALID CALIFORNIA RN or LVN license required. Health or Medical Job related experience required. First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate required. Knowledge of office procedures. Valid Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability. Education in the field supplemented with Community College or vocational courses in related area. High School Diploma or equivalent or higher educational degree: A.A./A.S., etc.. Please attach to your application or be prepared to present if selected for a position. Passing score must be achieved on a written exam. Exams are computerized and will be held at District Office in 29 Palms. Attach the following to your application: VALID CALIFORNIA RN or LVN License required. First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate required.
