Job Summary
Job Summary
Assist the teacher in instructing and interpreting for non-English speaking students; performing Spanish translation tasks and serving as a resource to other school personnel requiring assistance with non-English speaking persons. Instructs students individually or in groups with lesson assignments under the direction of a certificated teacher (e.g. modifying lessons, tutoring, etc.} for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or equivalent or higher educational degree: A.A./A.S., etc. , please be prepared to present if selected for a position. 2. Ability to speak and translate Spanish and English. 3. Six months experience working with children in an instructional and supervisory capacity, volunteer experience is accepted to meet the requirement. 4. Passing score on written examination. Exams are computerized and held at District Office in 29 Palms.
