What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier - Pit Stop (Part-Time) position at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa?
Take, serve and cash out food orders for food outlets including Pit Stop and Bingo.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required. Prior cashiering experience preferred with guest service skills and basic computer knowledge.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position. Tact and diplomacy are essential in all cases. Able to speak before groups, and interact constructively.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES & REGISTRATIONS
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency. Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
REASONING ABILITY
Must reason with people effectively yet cordially. Professional demeanor and optimism are essential. Must cope with a fast-paced work environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Position involves functioning in a kitchen environment. This work involves limited manual labor, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
WORKING HOURS
Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require Team Members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.

- Calling and handing out food orders.
- Serving food from steamers.
- Ordering stock for shift and putting stock away.
- Cleaning all areas on the counter and behind counter.
- Bussing tables when needed.
- Lifting boxes of stock and crates of soda and water.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
