The Bartender – Beverage CM is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests and cocktail servers with professionalism, efficiency, and a focus on exceptional guest service. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere while upholding safety, cleanliness, and inventory control standards across the bar area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares mixed drinks and cocktails to order, adhering to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Serves beverages to guests seated at the bar and fulfills orders for cocktail servers in a timely manner.
- Draws beer from taps or pours from bottles, ensuring appropriate portioning and presentation.
- Ensures compliance with ABC regulations, RBS guidelines, internal policies, and service standards.
- Accurately processes guest payments, including handling cash, credit cards, and comps.
- Performs daily and weekly inventory checks, restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages.
- Maintains a clean and organized bar area, including glassware, tools, and workstations.
- Ensures compliance with all sanitation and hygiene protocols in accordance with health regulations.
- Provides friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Responds professionally to guest inquiries, requests, or concerns and escalates issues when necessary.
- Verifies guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and adheres to all ABC regulations, RBS training standards, and internal policies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-volume service with composure and accuracy.
- Familiarity with beverage service operations, including knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Knowledge of ABC regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages.
- High regard for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of bartending or hospitality training program is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment required.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Experience operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Prior experience in a casino, resort, or hospitality setting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional guest service while multitasking under pressure.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.
WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
