Service Porter

Morong Falmouth, a long-standing southern Maine luxury and premium new car dealership has an opening for a service porter at our fast paced vehicle service center. We are looking for a positive and focused individual who is organized, efficient, and enjoys working with people, and who can interact with our clients in a professional manner. This is a position that requires self-motivation, as well as the ability to cordially interact with both customers and co-workers at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assisting them with their service needs upon arrival.
• Move vehicles to and from the service area and parking lot.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area and lot, ensuring that customers have parking available at all times.
• Assist service advisors with checking in and returning customer vehicles and courtesy vehicles, checking those vehicles for damage. and recording vehicle condition and mileage at each visit.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels
• Assist technicians with basic tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and customer interactions.
• Monitor seasonal tire storage as required.
• Assist reconditioning with cleaning cars as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Prior experience in a service or automotive environment preferred but not required

This position will require strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers in a helpful, enthusiastic manner. Our goal is to make sure customer vehicles are inspected for damage and moved quickly and safely at the time of drop off in order to make the customer experience as seamless as possible. Additional emphasis is placed on ensuring that our customer's vehicles are brought to a convenient location at the time of vehicle pickup.

This position requires a great deal of physical activity, including walking, bending, and entering and exiting vehicles. A valid driver's license is also required. The ability to drive a manual transmission is necessary in this position. An FCRA compliant background check may be required as a condition of employment.

This is an upscale sales and service business in which this position is the first impression of our company for many of our customers. A professional attitude and positive outlook are necessary.
