About the Role
MornstAir is seeking a QA/QC Field Inspector to support our growing construction operations. This role is critical in ensuring that all construction activities meet established quality standards through continuous, on-site inspections and real-time issue identification.
You will act as a key link between field execution and engineering requirements, helping ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in full compliance with project specifications. Your work will directly contribute to reducing rework, improving efficiency, and maintaining high-quality project delivery, including inspections conducted at elevated heights when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily field inspections to ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards
- Identify, document, and track non-conformances; follow through to verify corrective actions are completed
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photos, field notes, and punch lists
- Review construction drawings and specifications to validate field execution
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve quality issues in real time
- Participate in site walks, pre-installation meetings, and quality planning discussions
- Monitor work performed at elevated heights (lifts, scaffolding, ladders) to ensure safety and compliance
- Verify materials and installation methods meet project and regulatory requirements
- Support implementation of QA/QC procedures, checklists, and documentation standards
- Assist in maintaining project quality records for audits and closeout
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of construction field experience (QA/QC or inspection preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction practices, drawings, and specifications
- Ability to identify issues and drive corrective actions
- Comfortable working in dynamic, active construction sites
- Experience working at heights is required
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across teams
- Working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, project management tools)
Salary : $70,000 - $76,305
