This is an exciting opportunity that has you responsible for analyzing drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication projects.
Does the following look like your skill sets?
* Competent and confident in reviewing blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
* Experienced in preparing detailed cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication jobs, including cutting, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly.
* Cross Functional team interaction: Engineering, sales, operations, etc.
* Have you prepared and submitted formal quotations and proposals to customers?
Here is what you bring to the table:
· 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably in sheet metal fabrication.
· Strong knowledge of fabrication processes (laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, finishing).
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical specifications.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP or estimating software is a plus.
· Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.
· Ability to communicate with customers and vendors.
· Hands on shop floor or fabrication experience.
· Background in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related technical field.
