- Ensure safety of all children by maintaining and tracking food allergies for each child in our center and communicate identified allergies to teachers daily with every food delivery.
- Adhere to proper food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures, ensuring that food is stored and managed properly.
- Partner with the Center Leadership team to purchase all food/supplies necessary and keep inventory records as required by local and state agencies.
- Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards parents and children, listen, and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrates flexibility to the daily business need of a childcare center.
- 1 year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
- Ability to obtain food handling certificate within 90 days of hire.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to meet state/local childcare licensing requirements.
- Background in food preparation
- Proven work experience in a kitchen setting
- Hands-on experience with executing a menu and ordering ingredients
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Food Handlers Certificate
