Duties

• dishwashing efficiently clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools
• Manually handle heavy lifting of pots, pans, and large quantities of dishware with proper technique to prevent injury.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and dishwashing areas in compliance with kitchen health and safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup for meal service.
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station.
• Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling of food items during cleaning processes.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including sinks, dishwashers, and other related tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items regularly.
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Prior banquet or culinary experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
