Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Operating Room Circulating Nurses (RNs) for per diem / PRN assignments across multiple surgical facilities in Westchester County, Putnam County, and New York City.
This is not a full-time position. Assignments are flexible and based on facility needs. Primary focus includes plastic surgery, with additional opportunities in orthopedic and ambulatory surgical centers.
We are actively expanding our facility partnerships and building a pool of qualified nurses ready to begin assignments within the coming weeks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment
- Circulate during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficiency
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to changes
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation per facility protocols
- Maintain strict aseptic and infection control standards
- Assist with patient positioning and perioperative care
Requirements (Strict)
- Active New York RN license
- Minimum of 2 years RECENT Operating Room experience (required)
- Must have circulating experience
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical workflow
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during surgical procedures
- Ability to assist with patient positioning and movement, including lifting or supporting patients as needed
- Ability to perform essential job functions in a fast-paced surgical environment, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Experience
- Plastic surgery (highly preferred)
- Orthopedic surgery
- Ambulatory surgery centers
- Endoscopy, PACU, or ICU experience
Position Details
- Per diem / PRN only (not full-time) (Can be long term) 8 - 40 hours
