Position Overview: The Associate Advisor works directly with Senior Advisors to assist with the wealth management and financial planning needs of clients. This position is responsible for providing support to Advisors including data gathering, case design, scenario building, financial plan development and financial plan implementation. The Associate Advisor is an integral part of our team serving as the true connection between our clients, support team, and advisors. The Associate Advisor provides technical financial planning and investment management work, typically under the management of a Lead/Senior Advisor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate information to solve client issues responsibly
- Provide support for the financial planning needs of clients including:
- Conduct research as needed and work with client’s other advisors (attorneys, CPAs, etc.) to obtain all necessary data for financial planning analyses
- Prepare all retirement forecasts, cash flow analyses, education forecasts, insurance analyses, estate flows
- Identify areas of opportunity for clients based on financial planning analyses
- Create drafts of financial plans
- Prepare materials for client meetings; work with other team members to ensure client meetings are prepared for thoroughly and accurately
- Attend client meetings and take notes as requested; manage/delegate/complete all meeting follow-up items
- Communicate with clients to understand and address goals; liaise with client’s attorneys and accountants as needed
- Assist wealth advisors with any issues surrounding client reporting and performance
- Ensure accurate processing of client data in software systems utilizing; Salesforce, eMoney, and Orion
- Perform special request analyses for clients (e.g., mortgage analysis, Social Security analysis)
- Assist with new client onboarding
- Maintain accurate notes and records regarding client matters in the CRM
- Keep team members adequately informed on all active and pending client matters
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards in decision-making processes
- Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, accounting, finance, economics or related field of study
- Minimum of 3 years of work-related experience in the financial services industry
- Series 65 licensed or within 6 months of employment
- Has CFP® or is in pursuit of the designation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; to include intermediate knowledge of Excel
- Experience using a financial planning software system (eMoney), a CRM system (Salesforce), a portfolio management reporting system (Orion) and document management software is preferred

This is not a sales position.
Competitive compensation, between $60,000 and $75,000 based on experience, plus 15% bonus potential.

This is an in-office position with limited remote work opportunities and only available once fully trained.
