Morin’s 1911 Restaurant is seeking a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Assistant Front of House Manager to support daily operations and help lead our front-of-house team. Position Overview
The Assistant Front of House Manager works closely with the Front of House Manager to ensure smooth, efficient service while maintaining Morin’s high standards of hospitality. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong floor presence, team support, and operational knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Front of House Manager in overseeing daily dining room operations
- Maintain an active, visible presence on the floor during service periods
- Support and lead hosts, servers, bartenders, and support staff
- Ensure excellent guest service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Help coordinate seating, reservations, and wait times using reservation systems
- Monitor service flow and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and shift reports
- Uphold cleanliness, organization, and overall restaurant presentation
- Step in where needed during busy service (hosting, running food, assisting bar, etc.)
- Help train and mentor front-of-house staff to maintain consistency and standards
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Toast POS systems
- Working knowledge of bar operations, including basic cocktail preparation and service flow
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and lead by example
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
