Summary:
We are seeking an Architectural Drafter to join our Technical Team in a fast-paced manufacturing company. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can develop standard product details and produce shop/installation drawings of Morin wall and roof metal panels in commercial, industrial, and architectural applications. This position requires close coordination with other departments to ensure our customers receive the highest level of customer service and support that drives and maintains the reputation of our company.
Essential Functions:

1. Develop Morin shop drawings as defined in the scope of work provided by customer submitted drawings and specs.
2. Interpret information from internal order acknowledgement (products sold) and customer supplied structural and/or architectural plans.
3. Draw floor plan, elevations, and details per Morin drafting and product standards.
4. Coordinate panel analysis with Morin engineering personnel.
5. Conduct quality checks on peer drawings and bill of materials.
6. Review and update drawings to customer redline corrections as needed.
7. Produce bill of material (BOM) list in company format from final approved set of drawings.
8. Interface with required internal and external project stakeholders.
9. Develop standard details/manuals/prints for Morin products in 2D and 3D.
10. Assist sales staff and customer service with current and future projects
11. Assist architects and customers with new projects/project specific questions
12. Create product submittals for new projects
13. Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance Policy (applicable section 2.1-2.4) along with other applicable company policies.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel:
Occasional travel may occur for further training or to enhance customer relations.
Required Education and Experience:
1. Associate degree (or higher), Technical degree or appropriate level of related experience.
2. Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
3. Previous experience preferred in pre-engineered metal building and/or architectural design.
4. Good communication and mathematical skills.
5. Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve with minimal supervision.
Position Type/Expected Hours:
This is a full-time position. Typical hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. or as previously determined by the facility. 40 hours per week.
