What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Cream Scooper position at Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream?
Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream is looking for new Counter Servers!
As a Counter Server, you will:
Serve and provide service to all guests at Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream. You will scoop ice cream, prepare sundaes, make milkshakes, and serve pastries. You will maintain communication to prioritize service goals with other Counter Servers and Management. Remain knowledgeable on all menu items, including limited runs, in-store events, and collaborations.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Greeting all guests while guiding them through our menu and offerings.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items with the ability to execute all food preparations to expectation
- Operate the POS and handle cash with full competency, ensuring orders are being entered correctly.
- Restock the station for service as needed, including ice cream, toppings, napkins, cups, spoons, etc.
- Follow checklists and guides to prepare the counter for service and execute sidework
- Effectively communicate with the kitchen any issues with food and guest complaints in an effort to improve the guest experience
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the parlor
- Preform closing procedures to specification, including sweeping, mopping, breaking down stations, restocking, and dish washing.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in food service is preferred, but not required.
- Neat and detail oriented with a willingness to learn and grow
- Retains key details and follows through on tasks given
- A team player who understands how to create a warm and professional atmosphere
- A love for guest service and desserts!
Employees must be able to bend, stoop, reach, stretch, and lift at least 50 pounds.
