Position Overview
A Lender/Universal Banker serves as a frontline financial professional responsible for originating and managing lending relationships while contributing to overall branch growth. This role focuses primarily on identifying lending opportunities, analyzing creditworthiness, and delivering tailored loan solutions, while also supporting broader banking services as needed.
Essential Job Functions
· Evaluate customer financial needs and recommend appropriate loan solutions
· Originate and process loans such as personal, auto, and home equity loans
· Analyze credit reports, income, and financial history to assess loan eligibility and risk
· Guide customers through loan applications, approvals, and closing processes
· Explain loan terms, rates, and repayment options clearly and accurately
· Build and maintain business relationships to drive loan growth and expand the customer base
· Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures
· Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently
· Maintain accurate records of transactions and loan documentation

· Support full relationship account servicing activities, including opening and maintaining deposit accounts, as needed
· Participate in community involvement activities, local events, and business development opportunities to promote the bank and strengthen customer relationships

· Strong knowledge of consumer lending practices and credit analysis preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in both teller operations and consumer lending
- Knowledge of regulations such as Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
