Azure Security Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a technical leader who treats security as a foundational element of cloud architecture rather than an afterthought. In this role, you will design and implement secure Azure environments for enterprise organizations, ensuring that every component, from networking to data storage, is built with a Security by Design mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture and Security by Design: Lead the design of scalable Azure environments. You will ensure that landing zones, network security, and core infrastructure are architected to meet rigorous compliance and risk standards from the ground up.
• SIEM and Data Lake Engineering: Architect and manage Azure Data Lake environments to support large-scale data ingestion and analytics. You will also oversee the implementation of Microsoft Sentinel, ensuring it is properly integrated with the broader Azure ecosystem for comprehensive threat detection.
• Consulting and Stakeholder Management: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business leadership. You must possess the ability to translate complex architectural decisions into business value for non-technical audiences and executive stakeholders.
• Technical Leadership and Delivery: Provide mentorship to junior consultants and lead project workstreams. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality documentation, architectural diagrams, and implementation plans.

Required Qualifications

• Azure Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in Azure architecture with a strong focus on security engineering. You should have a proven track record of deploying complex cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
• SIEM and Data Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Azure Data Lake is required. You should understand how to structure data for efficient security operations and long-term retention.
• Consulting Skillset: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are mandatory. You must have the ability to simplify technical jargon for diverse audiences, including CFOs, CISOs, and IT directors.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer Associate) certification is highly preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as SC-100 (Cybersecurity Architect Expert) or AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert) are a significant plus.
• Experience with Log Analytics, KQL, and automated deployment using Infrastructure as Code.
