Veterinarian – Small Animal General Practice

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Temporary
Compensation: From $170,000/year Commission Sign-On Bonus Benefits
Expected Hours: 24–40 per week

A well-established, privately-owned small animal general practice located just minutes from the Delaware beaches is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinarian to join our collaborative team. Known for personalized care and a strong community presence since 2003, our practice focuses on high-quality medicine with a caring, client-first approach.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive medical exams, diagnostics, and treatments
• Conduct routine surgeries including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental procedures
• Administer vaccines, medications, and preventative care
• Interpret lab results (bloodwork, urinalysis, etc.) and develop treatment plans
• Deliver emergency and critical care as needed
• Educate clients on wellness, nutrition, and long-term care
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with veterinary regulations

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice in Delaware
• Strong clinical knowledge in general medicine and surgery
• Experience or interest in critical care and diagnostics
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills
• Familiarity with digital radiography, ultrasound, and laser therapy equipment a plus

Schedule Options:

• 4-day or 3-day work week options available
• Typical hours:
  • Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri: 8am – 6pm
  • Wed: 8am – 5pm
• No weekends or night shifts
