Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced candidate to join the Technology Business Development (TechBD) group with responsibility for supporting strategic business relationships between the various technology organizations, the vendor community, and the front office of the Firm’s business. This role will include researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting content focused on market trends.
The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director responsible for the following sectors: Data, AI/ML, Automation, DevOps. The candidate will also be working closely with the other Sector teams within TechBD. This role will be highly visible at the most senior levels and will also entail very close working relationships with leaders throughout the Firm and external community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills:
At least 6-8 years of experience in Enterprise IT, Technology Company, Financial Services, or Consulting.
Experience with Relational, NoSQL, Time Series, BigData, Search, Streaming, BI, and AI/ML solutions
Working knowledge of Cloud native data solutions and key data related concepts
SQL, Python, or other programming experience
Familiarity with common data tools
Experience building data pipelines
Understanding of data marketplaces
Ability to condense large amounts of technical or general information into concise digests. Ability to understand Enterprise IT drivers, priorities, and issues, industry trends, and vendor product portfolios.
Strong writing skills and ability to generate and present materials for senior leadership.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners, business leaders, peers, and executives
Strong communication skills with ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision. Can manage a complex everchanging priority list and resolve conflicts between competing priorities.
Requires a mix of technical, business, administrative, and relationship management skills.
Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to deliver results
Excels at working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues
Preferred Skills:
Experience building enterprise Data Solutions (both on-prem and cloud native)
Experience researching technology trends
Management Consulting experience
Generic Salesforce or CRM experience
Knowledge and understanding of Development tools, automation, and low-code/no code technologies
Knowledge of Financial Services data sources
