The Field Business Management and Strategy team (FBMS) helps the Firm make fact-based decisions around management and strategic direction of the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management organization. FBMS works closely with senior management across Firm functions to analyze information, develop recommendations, and communicate policies.
FBMS is also responsible for leading strategic work streams including the design and implementation of Financial Advisor and Branch Manager Compensation programs, strategic cost management, client retention policies, Financial Advisor teaming strategies and the management of Financial Advisor and Management information systems.
Position
Summary:
As a member of the Field Business Management and Strategy team, the candidate will be responsible for supporting select policies, processes, and platforms within FBMS's charter by creating meaningful solutions, effectively communicating those solutions to business stakeholders, and providing comprehensive support and education to target audience.
The role requires the candidate be a self-starter, with strong management, communication, and forward-thinking skills, capable of problem solving, and able to manage multiple projects from beginning to end.
The candidate will also need to be comfortable managing projects and working as part of a team with colleagues across a diverse range of functional groups. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with ad hoc projects from various groups within the Field Business Management and Strategy team and the greater Wealth Management organization
Requirements:
BA/BS with strong academic record
At least 8 years post-undergraduate experience, ideally in a strategy focused role
Experience managing and developing a team
Self-starter with strong project management capabilities and an attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong business judgment
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with colleagues across a diverse range of working groups in a dynamic environment

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105000 and 180000 per year] at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
