Corporate Treasury Capital Markets - Associate

We're seeking someone to join our Unsecured Funding team as an Associate in Treasury to manage Firm funding.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Associate level position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.

What You'll Do In The Role

• Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
• Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Treausry tools and/or products
• Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
• Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
• Assist in funding planning and execution across the Firm's funding channels
• Assist in the design and day-to-day implementation of debt issuance, related hedging strategies and funding pricing
• Manage and execute ad hoc requests/inquiries from senior management and aid in decision making process
• Prepare and analyze data for various Firm governance committees
• Provide a vision and direction to the tech development team and stakeholders to deliver software solutions used to manage unsecured funding
• Assist with program management, reporting and ad hoc governance or regulatory requests
• Maintain the team's risks and controls and associated documentation (e.g., policies & procedures)
• Create effective presentations for senior management forums and regulators
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Working knowledge of Treasury, industry and competitive environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to various audiences
• Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers
• At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
• Well-developed analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
• Diversity of thought
• Experience of working with challenging stakeholders and/ or deadlines to deliver positive results
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt to your audience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Collaboration and relationship building experience and skills

Job Posting Pay Range

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
