Traffic and Programming Assistant/Receptionist

Morgan Murphy Media seeks a detail-oriented Traffic and Programming Assistant/Receptionist for our Alpena, MI television station. In addition to supporting programming and traffic operations, you will answer phones, greet visitors, and provide excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity to learn about the broadcast media industry and contribute to a team that values community service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage daily program logs
• Schedule commercials, promotions, and public service announcements
• Ensure correct spot placement per client and regulatory guidelines
• Coordinate with sales, production, and programming teams
• Resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records
• Support data entry, reporting, and special projects
• Answer phones and direct calls professionally
• Greet visitors and provide a welcoming front desk presence

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Friendly and professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in broadcast traffic, programming, admin support, or receptionist roles
• Familiarity with traffic or scheduling software
• WideOrbit experience preferred
